Still thinking about that road trip? Do you have the time, but just need a bit of inspiration? Join Mark Probert as he wanders the length of Britain by motorcycle. The adventure starts from rugged Land’s End in south-west England and ends up at the wild north-east coast of Scotland at John o' Groats.

Relax for a while on this light-hearted jaunt. You’ll even learn a few unusual facts about the country and how it’s evolving. Along the way you’ll:
  • Ride over 1,800 miles of quiet back roads
  • Visit some familiar places, and a few new ones
  • Be astounded by some crazy things along the way
  • Check out how the country has changed in 50 years… or not
Most of all, you will enjoy the changing landscape and characters of Britain. It’s all done in a gently amusing way – serious academics and bad-ass bikers look away now!

Journey through India - expected 05/2021

It's hard to avoid India; it's the seventh-largest country in the world. No-one should need any encouragement to visit the place; it's a sensory explosion you won't find anywhere else. Mark Probert travelled with Dr Nick Lindsay, his friend of over forty years. The boys were determined to get to know the country, its people, history and menus. Travel with them by plane, car, motorcycle, camel, tuk-tuk and train, on a five-week adventure as they:
  • Cross the sub-continent from coast to coast
  • Visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the Taj Mahal, and more temples and forts than you can shake a cinnamon stick at
  • Nearly get arrested on their first day in the country
  • Explore the depths of a meteorite crater and the heights of the Himalayas
  • Witness corpses burning on the banks of the Ganges at Varanasi
  • Chill out in Bodh Gaya - where Buddha attained enlightenment
Enjoy the contrasting regions of India. Travel from Mumbai in the west to Kolkata in the east - via Aurangabad, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Shimla, Agra, Jodhpur, Varanasi and Bodh Gaya. By observing, mixing and learning along the way, Mark and Nick aimed to be travellers, not just tourists. In this book you will discover:
  • Some must do places to visit - not found in the usual guidebooks
  • The impact of the British in India - it's sadly not all good
  • How much fun (and cheap) it can be to eat and travel with the locals
This book will take you beyond the standard tourist sites. Expecting a stream of whacky incidents. And lots of cows.
